Manage Registration:

Volunteers can change their site if they are registered via the By-Site or General Site registration until April 10th, 2024.  All cancellations are final and volunteers must re-register if they cancel.

Build Day Timeline:

Check-in begins at 8:15am at Worcester Common, where volunteers will be able to enjoy light refreshments and mingle with other volunteers.

Meet with your site manager at the Rally  to get the address. Note: Transportation will not be provided to individual sites so please try and carpool with your friends.

Site managers will overseeing the progress of volunteers on Build Day and you will be delegated a range of tasks. Around 12pm pizza will be dropped off to your site where you will take a break.

  • Who Can Volunteer?
    Everyone! Even our four legged friends have been seen sporting a W4W shirt on Build Day. For ADA accommodations or more information, please email info@workingforworcester.com
  • How Long is Build Day? Where Do I Go? What Happens on Build Day
    Build Day begins at 8am in the Worcester City Hall, where W4W provides a light breakfast and coffee to everyone. At the Rally, you will hear from a range of speakers and meet your site manager. From there you will go to your designated site(W4W does not provide transportation to your site, we encourage you to carpool) and hit the ground running! At around 12pm, we will drop off pizza to your site and you will be able to take a break from the hard work! After lunch, you will keep going until the site is finished, some sites may take longer than others. Your site will be completed by no later than 4pm however.
  • Can I Volunteer With My Friends?
    Yes! You can all sign up for the same site using the sign up by site feature in the volunteer portal.
  • How Laborious is Build Day?
    You can make it as laborious or fun as you want it to be! We have jobs ranging from painting and landscaping to simply assembly of furniture. W4W wants to make Build Day a fun event for everyone and ensure that all can participate!
  • My Company or Group Wants to Volunteer, Can We be Placed Together?
    Yes! Please reach out to Info@workingforworcester.com to make that request and we will issue you a unique volunteer sign-up link for your group/company.
