Vernon Hill School

The Vernon Hill School serves over 480 pre-k through 6th grade students every year.  Currently, the school “courtyard” is a blacktop area with two basketball hoops and an enclosed area with no play equipment for our kindergarten students.  Working for Worcester will help create a full-size basketball court and a more usable, enjoyable play space for the younger children at Vernon Hill.  Objectives of the proposed project include:
  • Installing playground equipment/games for the kindergarten students
  • Painting basketball lines on the court
  • Adding landscaping throughout the play area
