Saint-Gobain has been a dedicated community leader and socially responsible corporate citizen of Worcester for many years. Guided by its “Corporate Social Innovation” approach to community service, Saint-Gobain not only financially supports community organizations, but also provides them with innovative support, in the form of employees expertise and in-kind materials and products. For these reasons, Saint-Gobain was a natural partner for Working for Worcester. In years one and two, Saint-Gobain supported numerous Working for Worcester projects on all three levels: with a monetary donation, with a materials donation, and with volunteers who provided expertise in helping us install a dance floor. Though already strong, in 2015, Saint-Gobain and Worcester for Worcester took its partnership to the next level. Together at the Boys and Girl Club of Worcester, we built one of the largest playgrounds Working for Worcester has ever built. On project day, Working for Worcester worked hand-in-hand with Saint-Gobain to make the playground a reality for the hundreds of children and families who utilize the Boys and Girls Club. Lauren Petit, Communications and Community Relations Manager for Saint-Gobain, has been a dedicated friend, mentor and supporter of the project since the very beginning.
