Mr. Worcester 2016-- February 19th, union station, 6pm.

The Mr. Worcester Pageant is a joint venture between the Working for Worcester project and the Worcester Student Government Association that is designed to bring college students from across the city together with members of the greater Worcester community to showcase the incredible student pride for our city! The event is a social engagement celebration that raises money for the Working for Worcester project’s spring service day, where some of Worcester’s finest young gents take the stage to strut their talent, personality, and Worcester pride, all in an effort to wear the coveted Mr. Worcester crown!!!
Mr. Worcester 2014 saw 7 contestants from their respective Worcester universities compete for the title. These candidates performed talents, sported their best fashions, and answered hard-hitting questions in front of an audience of 600 spectators at Coral Seafood on Shrewsbury Street. The event featured food, live music, a magician, information tables for the Working for Worcester project, and a fantastic raffle featuring everything from concert tickets to Ipads and gift cards to Beats head phones! The event raised over $4,000 for the Working for Worcester project! To see photos from Mr. Worcester 2014 click here.
The pageant was judges by a panel of celebrity judges: US Congressman Jim McGovern, Worcester Mayor Joseph Petty, City Councilor Sarai Rivera, Vice President at The Hanover Jennifer Luisa, and the Editor in Chief at Pulse Magazine Donna Robertson. Judges scored candidates in three rounds: talent, eveningwear, and interview.
The show saw dance moves, musical talents, beat boxing, and a sultry rendition of Bruno Mars’s When I Was Your Man. In the end Taylor McNally from WPI won the crown as college students from 10 Worcester colleges cheered!
We would like to thank our wonderful co-organizer the Worcester Student Government Association and our fantastic event sponsors for an incredible event!
