Jacob Hiatt Magnet School

Roughly twelve years ago, Jacob Hiatt Magnet School constucted a beautiful community playground.  This once heavily used playground has recently fallen into disrepair and the 460 students that attend Jacob Hiatt, as well as the 100+ children that participate in the local YMCA after school program, no longer have a safe place to play.  Working for Worcester, by matching the funds for repairs that Jacob Hiatt has already raised, will help revitalize this essential community play space.  Project objectives include:
  • Renovating the existing playground to meet safety standards
  • Planting new bushes/shrubs to create a more inviting play space
